A benchmark of flexibility for generations.
Developed specifically for implement operations, the Unimog offers a unique platform for countless possible uses – be it as a workhorse in railway construction or as a shunting vehicle with additional bodies and attachments. One of the fundamental aspects in this respect is the close cooperation over several decades with competent road-rail specialists as well as with implement manufacturers and bodybuilders.
Professional implement operation.
The Unimog reliably handles the most varied of tasks. Maintenance on overhead lines can be completed thanks to an elevating work platform, verges running parallel to the tracks can be cleared, or in winter, it can be used to free the path from ice and snow. Implement operation and driving functions can be comfortably controlled by means of the innovative operating concept used.
Versatility that pays off.
Up to four attachment and mounting areas, standardised interfaces, four hydraulic circuits as well as engine-driven and transmission-powered power take-offs all form a unique concept which offers almost limitless possibilities. If required, implements can be quickly changed and thus optimal vehicle utilisation achieved.
Work in comfort.
Driving and operating comfort are key factors of the Unimog concept. Excellent visibility and an ergonomic layout of the controls are just as much a matter of course as the EasyDrive hydrostatic traction drive, which noticeably simplifies the working day.
A precise, smooth drive.
The hydrostatic traction drive provides noticeable relief for the driver when operating implements in such tasks as sweeping or inspection and maintenance drives. The working speed can be steplessly adjusted while the engine speed and power take-off shaft's rotational speed remain constant. Accordingly, working feels more precise and there's no need to operate the clutch.
